2 Things

Up front, I want to get 2 rants out of my brain.

1. GE has ruined money making! No, it hasn't. Honestly, try using those things in the game called "skills" and stop bitching. Teacuptime and Merch and several others need to get off their high horses. OMG I can't make money from nats/monkfish/fletching/blahblahblahbbityblah! I am surprised that Merch is acting this way. Look at her skills; she's got a rounded character and it should be no problem for her to mine/woodcut/fish/etc. on her own. You still make money with nats/fish/logs/whatever, just not as much because the prices are becoming - gasp - reasonable. Do you know why I have high skills? Because I couldn't see the point of buying items when, with a little training, I can make for free.

These whining, bitching and moaning complaints are driving me away from favored blogs and RS fansites.

2. Snowman thieves. I had 4 snowmen stolen from me during the Christmas event today before I gave up. I had the emote and gift, so having fun with snowman wars and snowball fights would be plain stupid. I would build them up to the point where I could put a hat on them and some lazy SOB would top *my* snowman with *their* hat! It's not as thought the snow wasn't available for them.

1 - You've got a valid point, I think I should switch the emphasis from moneymaking being harder to concentrate a lot more on the balance of the game being thrown out of line.

In almost every skill, one of the major reasons to train is to get better abilities. Jagex put a lot of hard work into making sure that the better a money-earner is, the harder it is to get. Double nats is very hard to get to, the ability to mine runite is slightly eaiser but less profitable, fishing sharks is next easiest, then double astrals, then cutting magic logs, all these are also balanced against each other, so those who like a particular skill can find a good way to make money with it.

The GE prices are throwing these all out of line. The ability to cut magic logs is currently far more profitable than it ought to be, for it difficulty level. Worst of all, is Pure essence mining with pure ess over 120gp and rising, it's now one of the best money-making abilities in the game, but you only need level 30 mining to do it!

If there is no reward at the end of training a skill to a high level, then people won't bother. If the only skill you need to be rich is 30 mining, then everyone will be rich, and then where will we be? (Comment this)

2 - You know, you might have a valid point, but you say other people are bitching and moaning about things, what are you doing in almost every entry? bitching and moaning about their bitching and moaning, runescape is a MULTIPLAYER game, if you dont feel like socialzing with other players then dont play, and if you dont want to read about someone's thoughts or feelings then dont read them, people are used to doing things a certain way, and they should be able to complain about it however they want in whatever way they want, just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not ok.

3 - gopher,

I don't talk to people in RS. My chats are on Off and Friends. I have quit reading these blogs, forum topics, etc. You are welcome to stop reading mine.

RS is also one of the least multiplayer games on the internet. As long as you avoid 2 quests, you can max out your stats and experience without so much as looking at another player. (Comment this)

5 - "you can max out your stats and experience without so much as looking at another player."

yes you might play with your eyes closed, but the other players are there, before the g.e thats how you bought things, and you dont provide every little object you use in the game yourself do you? no. those ores you need for smithing, you bought those, they were from ANOTHER PLAYER because runescape is a MUTLIPLAYER game, no matter what you might think you need other players in the game for you to survive, your skils might be high in some areas, but they wouldnt be there if it wasnt for other people, you would of had to get all those materials yourself, which would of taken a considerably longer amount of time, think about that next time you say its not a multiplayer game.

6 - Kitt is entitled to her opinion. She prefers a solitary game and therefore her views are formed around this perspective. It's all good. :) (Comment this)
