The Payoff

The past 3 days are paying off. I have enough charms to get to midway level 53 (144,839.4 xp). The green charms will get me to level 49 so I can make bloated leeches. Then the rest of the greens, all crimsons and blues to level 52 where I’ll start in on the gold charms.

My strength level also got me 113 combat.

I traded one of my ogre wigs for a cooked trout today. I also found out the mystic hats I’ve been selling on the GE are worth more hi alching.

I’m A Computer Programmer! I Don’t Need My Legs!

My high scores as of February 1, 2008. I’ve been killing basilisks most of the day and probably will be doing the same tomorrow. No rare drops yet. I have vowed to cease slaughtering if these things would drop a head. I’m trying to be semi smart and gain enough charms for the levels I want - 49, 50 and 52 - before hurriedly crafting pouches. Yesterday, I gained 87 hit points. Strength is about 60k from 85.

For anyone new reading this blog and the old hats, all my screenies are viewable again. No more balding bobbleheads!

Relax - Don’t Do It

In the 2 hours of play before breaking off to get the obligatory seaweed, sand and staves, I worked on As A First Resort quest. It’s fairly easy, on par with One Small Favor - long and tedious. Talking with Balnea reminded me muchly of Pointy Hair:

After I completed the quest, I headed off to runecraft at ZMI. I whittled my pure essence stock down to 2k before my brain said, “Do something else. Now.” I took a few breaks, then came back and finished it all off to gain the last exciting level until double astrals at 82.

During one of the breaks, I ran back to Oo’glong and bought 2 ogre wigs. I had the diseased kebbit fur made into Davy caps but I like the wig more. I don’t have such a hat fetish IRL.

For Those Who Are About To Plant…

Some poor soul had sold 2 evil turnip seeds to me today. After a bit of digging in the KB, I found out the turnip patch is at Draynor manor just north of the belladonna patch. Not much is going on, but I took a picture in case someone else needs help - you don’t have to water evil turnips or use compost/super compost on the soil before planting. I planted 1 seed before I logged off for the night. I have no clue as to the growing time.

I put up my 44k yew longbows on the GE today for the average price. It’s just covering what I paid out if anyone buys them. I decided I wanted quick (ha!) cash rather than alch them for the mage XP. Summoning is costing money and my house is begging for the marble upgrades. Trying to sell the bows takes a lot of runecrafting pressure off me. I needed 44k nats for alching and the knowledge was just dragging me down. I did runecraft with ZMI today in between laundry and watching 1408.

Proud Beaver

I made a sad attempt at runecrafting today. Starting with the best intentions at ZMI, they dwindled to just making natures until the book I’ve been reading won my attention. Not my day to runecraft, I guess. Hopefully, I’ll get the swing back soon.

I don’t know when this happened, but it’s been months since I did a clue scroll in the Wildy. I had to dig behind the axe hut. I kitted out with the scroll, coordinates supplies, knife and a tele tab. I dug up a Zamorak mage, kung fu’ed him to death and clicked on the tele tab.

This cannot be used passed level 20 Wilderness.

Surprised Orly?

I tried the next day with the Ectophial while on another clue at the 3 lava spots by the agility arena.

This cannot be used passed level 20 Wilderness.

So, just a warning to those who take teleport items on clue scrolls - tele tabs and the Ectophial won’t work passed level 20.

I alched most of my summoning pouches and made several hundred thousand gold. About a fourth of what I paid in shards. I summoning a beaver to see what it had to say. It spoke like a Francophone and asked for me to go chop some trees. While we were conversing, the drill demon kidnapped me. Like some Americans during the Vietnam war, a Canadian aided my “escape” from the military.

I Have No Head

After 2 days killing basiliks and greater demons, I saved up enough charms for 5 summoning levels, 85 attack and 112 combat. But no head. Dammit. Seven people were slaying basilisks at one point. We were politely trying to stay away from each other, but it eventually came to seeing 2 people dancing around a basilisk then seeing “Sorry” “Np”.

Again, I missed the message due to slight lag; note the 2 blue splats on me.

I’m a bit desperate now. I’d gotten a few thousand XP to go to level 46 and I really want to use my blue charms for iron minotaurs. All I had left were 29 blue and 198 gold charms. I ran under Falador to mine tin and copper and I spied someone power mining iron. Much yayness! I grabbed the iron he dropped and used that to make granite crabs.

Thieving fingers? Gotta try that out. *evil* I had 1 buy of a single marigold flower in 3 days. The price is skyrocketing (max price is over 400gp each). I’m now saving gold charms for spirit terrorbirds at level 52. The raw bird meat I can get on my own; it will encourage me to train hunter and maybe I can make some cash with the feathers or crafting headdresses.

This I Swear

I promise not to level summoning until after I get 81 agility. 81 gets me the ability to use the first shortcut in the Fremmy slayer dungeon and that puts me so close to basilisks.

Dorgeshuun course: 41 laps to level 80; 117 laps to level 81

Providing I don’t fall asleep, it should take 8 hours to get there. Agility bores me. I take a lot of breaks to go do something else - read, watch tv. If I can keep my mind on track or find The Zone, I can get it done tomorrow. I hope.

I did much summoning today and can finally summon Evil Turnips! Okay, well, if any master farmer would let me have turnip seeds. Meanies.

I’m tempted to get a giant crab, but I wasn’t in the mood to throw explosives at mogres to get the chit, then drag myself and my scuba gear to Port Khazard. I’m buying marigold flowers on the GE btw, if anyone wants to make some quick cash.

Circumvention!

Aha! I created a Photobucket account for my screenshots and I’ll upload from there. BTW, the last post was a joke for anyone that took me seriously. Momentarily stunned by the fact that people read this blog without me poking them with a sharp stick. XD

From yesterday. Today, I hunted more charms at my usual spots - basiliks and gargoyles in Canifis and greater demons in Gu’Tanoth. I tried out the charm drops with infernal mages; they drop mostly golds but can drop the four colors and they are mostly free for the killing. Unlike bloodvelds where you have to fight for your own headless, demonic pig. I managed to get 84 attack at the Fremmy slayer cave, but missed the big level up message.

Then at greaters, I got 81 range. You can also see that Sparhawke Pa got his purple p hat. He makes me jealous of his money and ability to merchant for profit. Still a great guy though. Cool

And I found something that pisses me off. The person ranging with me would occasionally attack a greater until it was at half hitpoints, then move on and attack another greater. I made the mistake once of finishing off her half-dead demon. After that, I kept a sharp eye on which one(s) she attacked so it wouldn’t happen again. I used up another crystal bow there and got 56 crimson charms! I keep waiting for one of the rare dragon drops or a trophy head drop while I’m concerned over getting summoning bits.

Senator Ted Stevens May Be Right

Oh Emm Gee

I asked my husband, who is knowledgeable about teh Internets, about doing something with my bobblehead problem. Silly me, I thought since I’d uploaded too many pictures this month that I could take one or two off the site and everything would be okay. Husband asks, “Is this bandwidth or actual upload?”

Uh…

I find the photo limits I have on this free blog and show him the numbers. My quota available is 250MB and quota used is 250.31MB (and counting).

He tells me, “Oh, that’s bandwidth. Nothing to do with what you’ve uploaded at all.”

“Really?” I reply in a totally ‘Interwebs confuzes meh’ voice.

“Yeah,” he answers with a growing grin. “It’s people looking at your blog.” Then he offered to pay for an upgrade so this blog would have more bandwidth. How nice.

In the meanwhile, STOP LOOKING AT THIS SITE EVERY HOUR, DOORKNOBS! WinkTongue out

I usually update late in the evenings my time, or Eastern US +1hr 30min.
